How To Get There

Abrahamic Family House is located on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi and the Google Map link to this place of worship is here.

There is also underground parking available on-site (entrance near the Synagogue).

Tips For Your Visit

There is a section on their website about Visitor Guidelines, which can be accessed here.

There is also a Visit Us section on their website, which has some further useful information, before you visit.

There is also a café inside Abrahamic Family House, called ETHR, where you can sit either inside or outside to enjoy your snacks & drinks.

We loved sitting outside enjoying our tea and coffee.

There are lockers available and also toilets located once you arrive inside at Abrahamic Family House.

Near the lockers and toilets is also a small library and shop, which sells some gorgeous locally made products.

This is a great place for some quiet reading, so you can easily stay longer than a few hours exploring Abrahamic Family House.

What To Expect

You can visit the 3 houses of worship at Abrahamic Family House either as a visitor (guided tour either in English or Arabic) or as a worshipper.

1.     Eminence Ahmed El-Tayeb Mosque

We were told that this impressive Mosque is made up of 7 arches, due to the importance of the number 7 in Islam.

One of the most stunning features of this Mosque is the delicate latticework, which apparently has been designed to allow for natural light to filter through.

You can walk around this Mosque and also visit inside, but you must wear appropriate clothing before you enter, including placing your shoes on their shoe rack before you enter this Mosque.

2.     St Francis Church

This Church is dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi and apparently faces the direction of the rising sun.

Whilst this is not a very large Church, it certainly has been beautifully designed to allow for natural light to flood the altar.

3.     Moses Ben Maimon Synagogue

According to our tour Guide, this Synagogue symbolises the traditional shelter for prayer.

Depending upon the time of your tour or the day of the week that you visit, you may not be able to see inside this Synagogue.

As part of their guided tours, you'll also spend some time in their inside section, which includes a light show. This was a really nice way to end our visit, especially being in the air-con!

The Verdict

we really liked leaving a positive message on their 'My Intention' board near the exit before we left, so feel free to do the same!

Overall, Abrahamic Family House makes for a great few hours in Abu Dhabi, especially if you’d like to explore more of Saadiyat’s Cultural District.

Sounds like fun? Don’t just take our word for it, experience it for yourself.
