Visit Bassam Freiha Art Foundation, Saadiyat Cultural District’s first private art foundation, which opened on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi in March this year.
Architecturally designed by Rasha Gebran from ADD Consultants, this incredible art gallery structure provides a lot of natural light and even sunlight to make its way into the gallery spaces.
The impressive artwork hanging on the walls and sculptures placed around this art space is from Bassam Freiha’s private art collection, being a philanthropist and avid art collector.
How To Book
Entry is free to Bassam Freiha Art Foundation for everyone, so no need to book before your visit or pay for entry when you arrive.

Bassam Freiha Art Foundation is open daily 10am – 8pm.
How To Get There
The main entrance and carpark at Bassam Freiha Art Foundation is located behind Berklee Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, which can be found on Google Maps here.
Tips For Your Visit
There are ramps available at this art space, so this venue is both wheelchair and pram friendly.
Carparking is limited directly in front of Bassam Freiha Art Foundation, so you may need to park closer to Manarat Al Saadiyat and walk a short distance to this art space.
What To Expect
There isn’t a café at this venue at this point in time, but who knows, there may be plans in the future.
There are comfortable seats inside and outside at Bassam Freiha Art Foundation and beautiful simplistic garden towards the rear of this art space.
Should this art gallery not be too busy, the helpful staff working at this art foundation, may offer you a free private tour of this art gallery, explaining more about every piece of artwork.
The outside of this gallery is surrounded by a beautiful water feature, making for some great photo opportunities.
The Verdict
We honestly loved our visit to Bassam Freiha Art Foundation.
Whilst this art gallery is not very large (2 buildings) in total, we loved seeing all of the amazing paintings, sculptures and exploring the gorgeous garden and water feature around this building.
This is yet another amazing place to visit in Saadiyat’s Cultural District!
