What To Expect

The Korean Cultural Center has multiple areas to explore including the following areas:

Traditional Experience Zone, which has been designed to look like a traditional Korean home called a Hanok.

In this area, you must remove your shoes before entering.

Adults and children can try on traditional Korean outfits, including hats.

Lots of great opportunities in this area to pose for photos – you really do think that you are in Korea!

The multi-purpose hall is where performances, exhibitions, events and martial art classes are held.

Whilst we were there, there was a Korean tea exhibition called “Blooms In A Cup: Flower Tea,” where attendees can try different floral tea from Korea and learn more about then specific flowers bloom in Korea.

There’s also a bookshelf in this area dedicated to all things Korea!

Signed K-Pop memorabilia!

And even cute Korean plush toys!

Their Library has books written in Korean, English and Arabic and there are separate reading areas dedicated to adults and children.

There is also a DVD zone and lots of beautiful traditional Korean dolls to learn about.

Or traditional Korean masks used for cultural performances.

Around the corner from their Library is where their Korean language classes are hosted.

There is also 2 quiet reading areas, should you wish to sit away from their main library area.

Workshops are held next door to their language classes and classes usually go for around 2 hours, held sometimes during the week, but usually on weekends.

One of the cutiest areas at the Korean Cultural Center is the miniature seasonal table set up, where you can learn how to set up a dining table during different times of the year and the different food on offer.

Another favourite area for us at the Korean Cultural Center was inside their Korean majlis room, where you can sample 3 different types of Korean tea for free.

Lots of traditional Korean items spread around this room too.
