The Smash Room already have a branch in Al Quoz in Dubai, but have now opened in Abu Dhabi.
A smash room is where people can go to let off some steam, by paying to smash things.
How To Book
There are several packages available at The Smash Room, which can be viewed here.
Depending upon the package that you choose, you can bring along things that you already own to break or pay for specific items from The Smash Room’s collection.
Whilst it’s ideal to pre-book your tickets on-line during busy periods, we found out that it’s actually slightly cheaper to book in person on the day.
If you do pay in person on the day, you may need to wait though for an available smash room to become vacant.

How To Get There
The Smash Room in Abu Dhabi is located in the Nahil Building in Al Rawdah.

Tips For Your Visit
There are male & female toilets, lockers and separate prey rooms available inside The Smash Room.
Every smash room has a unique design/configuration, but all smash rooms have an in-built shelf for you to rest your camera/phone etc, should you wish to take any videos or photos of yourself in your smash room using a timer. Some have windows and some have only 4 walls. Should you have a room type preference, let their staff know before you start your experience.
Whilst your friends and loved ones are waiting for you to finish your smashing, you can play on their air hockey table for AED20.

What To Expect
Once you've checked into your smash experience, a friendly staff member will help you to put on all of your protective gear.
You'll be provided with your own helmet with face shield, padded safety vest, socks, shoes and disposable clothing suit.
You'll then be asked to choose your tool of choice to smash things, which are lined up along one of their walls.
If it's not too busy, you'll also be able to choose which smash room you want to use for your experience.
The items that you've purchased to smash or have brought along, are then placed in your smash room. Robert chose to smash a DVD player and a CPU from The Smash Room's items for sale.
Your friends or loved ones are able to watch you smash from the dedicated TV screen or iPad in the common areas of The Smash Room.
There's also a cafe on-site, should you wish to purchase a drink or dessert before or after your smash experience.

The Verdict
This was Robert's first smash room experience and he loved letting off some steam!
We all loved the colourful graffiti on the walls, which made for some great photo opportunities.
Whilst we're not planning on becoming regular 'smashers,' we definitely think it's worthwhile adding this smash room experience to your Abu Dhabi bucket lists.
