How To Get There

This park is in Khalideya, Abu Dhabi and the main drop off/pick up location is on Al Bateen Street.

There is car parking available on-site, which can be accessed from Al Mawatheeq Street.

Tips For Your Visit

Water at the Splash Pad area is only turned on between 12pm – 7pm daily, but the kids and sandy play areas are open the regular hours of the park, being 7am – 12am.

Whilst there are still empty retail/restaurant spaces for lease or coming soon, there are some great restaurants and businesses already at Sheikha Fatima Park.

We loved the food and drinks (especially the Matcha Latte) at Dialogue.

The other cafes and restaurants that we came across included Starbucks, SOLA, Coal Steakhouse and there were many more that you can enjoy.

The most unique café that we found at Sheikha Fatima Park so far was the board game café DICE.

We’ve already added this unique café to our bucket list in Abu Dhabi!

We also spotted Kidz Factory, which we’ve seen at some other family friendly locations in the UAE.

The other businesses that we came across were Bellacure Beauty Lounge and CRANK, but we did notice some others in the distance that we didn’t get time to walk past.

You can check out the park’s website for future events including NYE fireworks, Ramadan Nights and Art In The Park here.

There is a public toilet block located in the ‘Adventure Zone,’ but there are many other clean toilet facilities in the ‘Experience Zone’ too.

What To Expect

One of our highlights of visiting Sheikha Fatima Park was trying to spot all the art murals.

For a full list of art murals, you can view the park’s website here.

Our favourite was the ‘Curious Puppies' art mural, which is also interactive!

‘Spirit of Hospitality’ was also an impressive art mural.

The Verdict

Sheikha Fatima Park is one of the most impressive free public outdoor parks that we have ever visited in the UAE!

There are a lot of signs and maps around the park, so it's difficult to get lost.

All 3 free zones are unique and surrounded by lots of greenery, where you don’t feel like you are in the busyness of the city.

The art murals are a nice touch and make for some great photo opportunities too!

We were also impressed that there is currently a free photography exhibition in the lawn area of the ‘Experience Zone.’

This park is great for children and adults of all ages and the kids play areas are shaded by canopies.

It’s also great that this park caters for pets too!

Tom really enjoyed their outdoor kid’s play area, so we’ll be back to try their Splash Pad area, which is perfect to stay cool this summer.

Sounds like fun? Don’t just take our word for it, experience it for yourself.

Be inspired to start or add to your very own bucket lists.
