The Activities and Experiences at this resort are grouped into 3 categories:
1. Guided Experiences (desert drives, camel trekking, desert walks, fat biking, archery, animal experience, falcon & saluki show and horse riding)
2. With Our Compliments (tennis, basketball, desert volleyball)
3. At Your Leisure (kids & teens club and sandboarding & sledding)
All of their Guided Experiences are led by seasoned activity guides.
The Falcon & Saluki Dog Show focuses on the ancient sport of falconry and Saluki hunting.

The Falcon & Saluki Show is offered at either sunrise or sunset.
We went at sunrise and the contrasting colours of the desert and sky was incredible to see!

Tips For Your Visit
Children below 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Anantara have a strict cancellation policy for their Activities and Experiences, so any last-minute cancellations will be charged at 100% of the full activity rate onto your room account.
The pick-up and drop-off for all Activities and Experiences at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort are from the resort's main entrance and you’ll need to arrive at least 15 minutes prior.
What To Expect
This is a live show which includes a demonstration of hunting techniques and interesting facts about birds of prey and Saluki dogs.
This show lasts for around 1 hour and is approximately a 6-minute drive from the main entrance of the resort.
You’ll drive by the first villa at the resort that was built for their birds of prey and Saluki dogs to live and once you arrive at the show’s location, you’ll be offered some refreshments.
Then you’ll sit down to watch Wild Flight’s fun interactive birds of prey show, where you will learn more about Hawks, Owls and Falcons.
We were shown a Harris Hawk, Desert Eagle Owl and Saker Falcon as part of our show, but they may show other species of these birds of prey, depending upon when you visit this resort.
Everyone who’s signed up for this experience will then be given the chance to take individual photos and videos with each bird species and feed these birds of prey once they land on their glove, flying from a specific perch.
The first part of this show will involve a Hawk and an Owl, followed by a break watching the Saluki dogs hunting techniques and then lastly, seeing how Falcons hunt for their food and an opportunity to take a photo/video with a Falcon.
What's Unique
We haven’t come across a combined Falcon & Saluki Show at a desert resort in Abu Dhabi or the rest of the UAE to date.
The Verdict
This was our second animal experience run by Wild Flight in the UAE.
We were so impressed the first time at their Falcon Show @ Al Wathba Hotel, that we couldn’t wait to sign up for this show too and meet other species of birds of prey from the region and learn more about Saluki dogs.
