Home to more than 15,000 butterflies, Dubai Butterfly Garden consists of 10 custom built and climate-controlled domes, for visitors to see these butterflies all-year round, regardless of the weather outside.
There are over 50 varieties of butterflies in different colours and sizes flying around and visitors have an opportunity to learn about the different stages of a butterfly’s lifecycle.

Inside the domes of this butterfly garden, the temperature is a pleasant 18-25 degree Celsius throughout the year.
The Dubai Butterfly Garden is open daily 9am – 6pm.

There are bathrooms available near the entrance/exit at Dubai Butterfly Garden.
You can buy some snacks and souvenirs at Dubai Butterfly Garden and there are some tables and chairs both inside and outside, to enjoy the snacks that you’ve purchased.
What To Expect
There are 10 domes to explore at Dubai Butterfly Garden and there are arrows to help guide visitors to the next areas to explore.
There are also some colourful themed ornaments throughout the domes of this butterfly park, creating some great photo spots along the way.
It took us about an hour to walk around this butterfly park and butterflies will feed on fruit, creating other great photo opportunities!
It’s important to note that butterflies will land anywhere inside these domes, including on visitors and on the ground, so keep a look out when walking around this butterfly garden.
You can take your time exploring each dome and take as many photos and videos as you like, as this is a self-guided experience.
Make sure you look up to the ceiling once you’re inside the domes, as there are some beautiful vertical gardens to see too!

The Verdict
We loved walking from one dome to the next, seeing the different species of butterflies and the amazing colours of each type of butterfly.
There are some fantastic photo opportunities both inside and outside at Dubai Butterfly Garden, including underneath the umbrella walkway.
Tom absolutely loved seeing all of the butterflies, but his particular favourite was the large brown butterflies.
Overall, the Dubai Butterfly Garden is well worth a visit, especially for families!
